Botaira Beach, Naviti Island, Fiji

May I introduce to you: Botaira Beach, a quiet and peaceful paradise on Naviti Island, in the Yasawa group of islands, Fiji.

No need to look further, it’s all there. Botaira Beach is exclusive to Botaira Beach Resort, which consists of only 11 bures. The setting is small and intimate, and that’s why this beach never, ever, gets crowded. The photo shows only about half the beach as the latter stretches about the same length the other direction. In fact, most of the time during my stay in Botaira, I had the beach to myself. The atmosphere is so relaxed and peaceful that guests spend their time either snorkelling and swimming, or relaxing in the garden, hiking in the hills, visiting the village on the other side of the island or resting in their bure, and since it’s such a small resort, you don’t actually bump into them on the beach much at all!

Does this sound like a beach you’d spend a few days on?

It certainly does. That relaxing holiday is pretty hard to beat. It’s as close to paradise as it gets.

I would definitely spend time on Botaira Beach as Fiji is yet another bucket list destination of mine. Christina, that beach looks like the same right out of the movie Contact with Jodie Foster when she travels to the other planet! Wow…

Hey Mike, Fiji is amazing and so varied. Now that you say it, Botaira beach DOES look like out of Contact! I didn’t realise when I was there!!
